Product SKU: LNK GT86

Free yourself from the constraints of the factory ECU. TThe GT86 G5 Plug-in is a standalone plug and play replacement for the factory ECU and fits the Toyota GT86, Subaru BRZ and Scion FRS family of vehicles. The ECU comes ready to use encased in an aluminum case and mounts using the factory brackets. It easily plugs straight into the original wiring loom, no adapter harness needed and comes with a sample map for a tuning head start. The GT86 G5 Plug-in runs the same powerful microcontroller and firmware as the G5 Voodoo Pro.

This Link Plug-and-Play ECU is compatible with the following (manual transmission only):

  • Toyota 86 (ZN6) from 2012 to 2021
  • Toyota GT86 (ZN6) from 2012 to 2021
  • Subaru BRZ (ZC6) from 2012 to 2020
  • Scion FRS (ZN6) from 2013 to 2016

Installation of Link's ECU is a breeze with no alteration of the factory wiring loom required. A built-in connector (or pins in some models) provides additional inputs and outputs such as oil pressure inputs or anti-lag / logging switches.

All Link plug-in ECUs come with a sample base map. While these maps are designed to help save time for you and your tuner, it is essential that these are used simply as a starting point for further tuning.

The vehicle’s original sensors & actuators are used except for the following exceptions:

  • MAP sensor – The factory MAP sensor is supported. It is capable of measuring up to 1.37Bar absolute (~5psi of boost). If higher boost pressures are required then an aftermarket external MAP sensor may be used and connected to the factory MAP sensor wiring or the expansion connector. The factory airflow meter is not required.
  • Inlet Air Temp Sensor (IAT) –  From factory GT86/BRZ/FRS are fitted with an IAT sensor fitted inside the air flow meter. While this factory IAT sensor is supported by the G5 plug-in ECU, the factory air flow meter would need to be kept in place to use the IAT sensor. For best results we recommend an alternative IAT sensor to be fitted to the intake or intercooler pipe just prior to the plenum entrance. This may use the existing IAT wiring or connect to the expansion connector of the ECU.
  • Injectors -The Link G5 plug-in is designed to be used with both the direct injectors via the factory direct injection drivers and port injectors. Direct injector outputs can also be redirected to control additional port injectors with jumpers on the ECU board. See Link ECU's documentation for further information.
  • Extra sensor inputs - The expansion connectors on the Link G5 board is provided to allow the easy connection of additional ECU inputs. These may be used for functions such as driver adjustable boost control, switchable fuel/ignition maps, wideband lambda input, external MAP sensor, fuel pressure and oil temp/pressure.
